THE ARTWORK
The Salt Lake City art hunt began at sunrise July 26th, 2008; the hunt ends when all ten artworks are found!
WINNERS GET TO KEEP THE ART!
Ten brightly colored and hand drawn miniature Desert Tortoise artworks (see above) will be hidden in the public parks
of Salt Lake City in Utah. Winners keep the miniature artwork! Minneapolis artist William Hessian is creating the art and then hiding the art in hidden
locations in the pulic parks. The hunt is open to the public and everyone is invited to seek out your local parks and
search for these tiny treasures. Each artwork is 1 inch by 1 and a half inches. All ten works will appear on this website
prior to the hunt, and visual clues will be posted to help aide those art seekers. All winners and art hunters are
invited to send in pictures to be added to the website.
All clues are photographs of the artwork in its hiding places, feel free to print pictures to take on your hunt Kelsey and myself will be painting in the parks this weekend. Times and location will be added to the website by Friday night. Winners of the hunt will be able to claim their
small prize during the paint in the parks. Since the Desert Tortoise art hunt is a grass roots independent art project it relies heavily on word of mouth exposure. Please help out and pass on this website and the dates and times to friends, families, children, schools, teachers, park enthusiasts and anyone else that might be interested in the hunt. Please show your support for Art as Treasure, self representing artists, bring the joy of art to thousands of people and help fund artwork in the parks, by donating (using the Paypal links at the top and bottom of this page or by mail). Find out how to recieve a free bearded bunny art print for your donation. (If you've found a Tortoise, have pictures to submit, or have any questions or concerns please contact: William.hessian@gmail.com) Feel free to talk about the hunt with other Salt Lakers here
